VISION & PURPOSE
Our purpose is the long-term sustainability of the Story Road Business community through collective investment and advocacy. We work to ensure every assessment dollar translates into growth for Story Road.
Who it serves?
The Story Road Business Improvement District serves 400+ businesses located within the Story Road corridor. See the map to the right for the corridor boundary.

WHERE YOUR ASSESSMENT GOES?
Every BID assessment dollar is reinvested into the Story Road corridor. While the City of San José collects the assessment through the annual Business License Tax bill, all funds are returned to the Story Road BID and can only be used for programs and services that benefit businesses within the district.
See the infographic below for a breakdown of how assessment funds are allocated.

WHO MANAGES THE BID
Story Road Business Association
Board of Director
The Story Road Business Improvement District is managed by the Story Road Business Association Board of Directors, which is made up of local business owners from within the district. The Board helps direct how BID funds are invested by overseeing the annual budget, work plan, and district priorities. The Board values input from the business community and encourages businesses to attend meetings, share feedback, and help shape the future of the Story Road corridor.
